Why SaaS founders should benchmark
Benchmarking is a critical practice for Software as a Service (SaaS) companies, serving as a compass that guides strategic decisions, operational improvements, and market positioning. In the rapidly evolving SaaS industry, where competition is fierce and customer expectations are high, benchmarking offers a structured approach to evaluating a company’s performance against industry standards and best practices.
The great thing about SaaS companies is that:
- Most metrics are structured and (somewhat) uniform globally.
- Tactics and strategies that have worked for other companies have a high chance of being effective again in companies with similar Average Contract Values (ACVs) and contexts (until they reach a saturation point).
- The SaaS community is open, collaborative, and often builds in public.
Every SaaS founder should leverage this to their advantage!
With this in mind, at SaaSholic, over the past 5 months, we have contacted the main investment firms and stakeholders in the Latin American (Latam) SaaS landscape and created the largest collaborative Latin America-specific research that we’re proud to release next Tuesday (6th of Feb).
We are confident this will serve both to showcase the State of SaaS in Latam (hence the name 😉) and also serve as a valuable resource for founders out there.
Stay tuned!
